Ravaillac is the capital of New Caputia, a region of Nouvelle Alexandrie. The city is located in the center of the region, in the middle of Normandy Valley, a central valley between the Caputian Mountains, that is formed by the river Norse (Hammish: Naare). It has a population of 391,781 (1726 AN). Its elevation is around 1,200m (4,000 ft).

The city was founded by Hamland as New Northmann in 1605 AN. It was taken over by Nouvelle Alexandrie in the aftermath of Operation Purple Splendor in 1719 AN. It was then renamed to its current name, and elevated as the capital of New Caputia, cementing its position as the foremost city in the region.

The city is known for its large mining heritage, growing to its current size due to ample Copper and Iron deposits. It is an important cultural centre for the diaspora of Caputian descendants. Its idyllic location at the foot of many ski resorts has made it a popular tourist attraction.

The city is governed by the state of XXXXXXX, a state in the region of New Caputia. The city is subidivided into wards.
