The Provisional Government of Sevetia administered the State of Sevetia from 21 December 2018 to 6 April 2019 (ST 0 01-01 to 04-23). It was a transitional administration for the period between the establishment of Sevetia and the formation of the First Government of the country.

Formation

The Declaration of the Establishment of the State of Sevetia tasked the Sevetian People's Assembly with the administration of the Sevetian territory. (It has to be mentioned that the Declaration was made by the People's Assembly itself.) The main mission of the People's Assembly was designing a form of government for the nascent state, and transfer the power to the new government. Article 3 of the Constitution of Sevetia, proclaimed on 26 December 2018 (ST 0 01-06), states that the People's Assembly would establish the "government bodies of each power".

Since the People's Assembly was gathered at Iroka, the city functioned as de facto capital of Sevetia. However, later it was decided that Nankad would become the capital, where the new government would take office.

The People's Assembly did not have a head, and all actions of government were decided by simple majority votes.

Actions

A number of bills were passed by the People's Assembly during their rule as provisional government. It established a form of government based on meritocracy, where positions within the government are temporary and earned through a series of examinations. Among other important actions, the People's Assembly also adopted the flag and emblem of the nation as official symbols, designed the Sevetian calendar, set the standard Sevetian script, and established the country's prefectures.

End

In late March 2019, the first National Government Service Examination took place. On 1 April 2019 (ST 0 04-18), the authorities of the new government were announced.

The ceremony of transfer of power was held in Nankad on the 6th. During the ceremony, Onder Ahetnibe, a member of the Sevetian People's Assembly, gave the "golden key" to the members of the newly-formed Cabinet, thus marking the end of the provisional government.
