Timeline

  • 01.X.1659: 74 unmarked lorries, 12 black S.U.Vs, and 20 heavy earth-moving machine plants, escorted by a full "haß" (squadron) of Auxiliaries, arrived in the village of Grimbergen, 23 kilometres north-east of Traiectum in Shirerithian administered Batavia. The village was cleared in a dawn razzia and properties were subsequently demolished. Displaced persons were moved to Portus Batavii in the south of the country. Unemployed male denizens (ages 15 to 30) in the bailiwicks of Traiectum and Noviomagus had been rounded up in the preceding week and were now delivered to the Grimbergen site under the guard of Imperial Marshals to begin construction work on a camp and barracks facility.
