The recipe was created in 1667 by a local merchant in the city, and later acquired by the founder of the company, Eddie Yorela. Popa Cola products are primarily found in Sanama, where it is the largest soft drink manufacturer, but it is also exported to various other countries, like Drak-Modan, Tellia, the Unified Governorates, Ransenar, Talenore,Floria and Alduria. The accession of Sanama to the Raspur Pact in 1680 greatly expanded the market for Popa Cola products, resulting in the company quickly becoming one of the largest producers of soft drinks in the world. The Popa Cola products are noted for their high content of sugar, sourced from locally produced sugar cane.
