Parlerment House
Parlerment House (Hurmu Norse: Parlermentshuseð; Lakkvian: Parlermentihoone) is one of the oldest extant building in Huyenkula, a historical landmark, and the temporary seat of the Order of the Holy Lakes and the Senate of the Lakes.
Originally built in 1454 as a meeting house for conventions and conferences under the Peace of Cashma, Parlerment House was refurbished in 1476–1477 to become the Parlerment. It hosted the various legislatures of Hurmu until 1512, when it became the city hall of Huyenkula. After the establishment of Lakkvia in 1606, Parlerment House came to host the Lakkvian legislature until 1690, when the Lakkvian legislature was replaced by the bicameral Parlerment, where the Assembly met in this house and the Senate in the Palace of the Elenaran. After the abolishment of the Parlerment by the enactment of the Charter for the Order of the Holy Lakes, the building became the temporary headquarters of the Order of the Holy Lakes and the Senate of the Lakes, pending the renovation of the Palace of the Elenaran.
In 1723, the Senate and Order vacated the building and left the tenancy to the Thing of the Lake District.
