Operation Frequent Win was the initial phase in the Katabasis of the Loyalists, in the aftermath of the attempted assassination of Autokrator Jaime Augustin Joaquin Primo de Aguilar and a concurrent popular uprising in the Euranikon theme and immediately prior to the destruction of Vey.

The Aqaba Redoubt
The settlement of Aqaba, long a den of insurgents, thieves, and brigands, was secured by virtue of Operation Debellatio on 18.XIII.1655. On 6.III.1656, the settlement was formally annexed, with Antistrategos (Lieutenant General) Demetrios Thesalonikis as its appointed Military Governor with plenipotentiary powers.
