Nova English Weapons, often referred to as N.E.W, is a leading defense manufacturer based in Nova England and is owned by the Nova English government. It is currently and historically one of the largest exporters of military small arms and equipment in Northern Keltia.

The company originated in New Sussex near the city of Heartpool, where a factory was established in 1942 to produce large quantities of rifles for counter-insurgency actions in Southern Burwood. The company was initial staffed by a number of master gunsmiths that the government had contracted to design new weapons for the military and the foreign export market.

Soon after this the firm began to grow as it pushed the boundaries on military defense projects and became the main provider of the Nova English Armed Forces. The company’s continued success enabled it to invest heavily into research and development projects in a number of areas previously untouched by the government. These included expeditions to Giess via the Riponian Gate to investigate untapped resources, production and testing of WM12 chemical weapons and the design of NESA’s Divine Rain orbital artillery system.

Following the collapse of the Nova English Government the company effectively dissolved with a number of its staff dispersing to civilian companies within Mercurian Nova England and elsewhere. However since the re-emergence of the Faedertellus, the Provisional Witan has reactivated the company and has secured a number of its abandoned properties throughout the secured regions. Since the establishment of the Kingdom of Moorland within old Nova English territories, the Moorlander government re-established N.E.W. as a state-owned defense supplier.
