The Nova Caradian cupru is the planned currency of Nova Caradia, planned to be implemented by the end of 1691, which replaces the Australisian Zaikir that had been in use in the Duchy of Caradia previously. The currency derives its name from the original idea of backing the currency with copper rather than the more valuable gold reserves that had been lost when the Duchy collapsed. This plan was rejected, though the currency retained its name (the name of the subdivision, a bronz, is a reference to the fact that they are cast of bronze). The value of the currency is currently fiat, with one cupru roughly being equivalent to the value of one kilogram of raw wheat grain.

The symbol of the cupru is Ͼ, though Cu is also accepted due to possible coding or typing restraints. The symbol of the bronz is ƀ.
