Night of the Troll is a fantasy game created by Deniz Yürük. The game puts the player in the shoes of a Troll couple who are angry because their forest has been anthropized by a selfish King. The Trolls decide that one of them will come to the village every night in order to eat people and scare them away in the hope that, one day, they will have their old lonely forest back. But the Trolls must try to avoid the eight guards who patrol the village, not only because they have weapons but also because wasting time killing all of the guards means ending up turning to stone when the sun returns to shine the village.

Gameplay

The game can be played by a single player and features a map of the village. At the start of the game, the player decides who of the two Trolls (male or female) will come to the village and must roll a four-sided dice 4 times in order to see how many kind of people the Troll wants to eat (Kids,Teens,Adults or Old People). Then, the player must shuffle the 166 cards that contain the coordinates of where the eight guards could be placed on the map. This must be done every time the Troll is about to leave a house. The guards have a "view range" of three cells per eight directions. When the Troll enters a house a dice is rolled and a chart is consulted to see who's in that house. The Troll must try to get into several houses of the village in order to eat all the people (s)he wanted (seen at the start of the game) without being killed by the guards or the sun. The game is won when the Troll leaves the village safely and with his/her stomach full.
