Niš Airport is located in Niš, the one-time capital city of Srbozemska. It is the largest and the main airport in the country. Srbozemska Construction was the lead entity involved in the construction of the airport. The plans were to have two runways, the longer one for public and the other for military purposes.

Facilities

The airport has one terminal. There will be long and short-stay car parks with approximately 500 parking spaces as well as drop-off points.

Security

The airport's HPC Cantonment is garrisoned and maintained by the 123rd Aviation Base Regiment. While the assigned runway available to the HPC is primarily used for cargo transport, passenger and rendition flights, the site hosts a flying unit, the 143rd Helicopter Transport Regiment, albeit one presently awaiting the delivery of training and utility helicopters.
