The Next Generation Corvette project is a development programme managed by Sanama State Maritime Industries. The stated goal of the project is to produce a modern and capable corvette to fill the patrol, littoral sea control and near-coast anti-submarine warfare roles. It is slated to replace the Elwynn-class corvette and Klimatariá-class missile corvette currently in service with the Sanaman Navy. It will also be offered to other members of the Raspur Pact. The project resulted in the Seafox-class corvette.
