The Catologian hymn Calon Lân is the national anthem of Calbion since 1610 AN. The origins of the hymn date back until the early Calbain period, and the establishment of the Calbain religion. The song became highly popular among Calbain nationalists, but did not have the status of official anthem following independence. In 1598, Calbion adopted Calbion, fy Gwlad y Adra as the anthem of the South Batavian autonomous state. Following the independence war, the song became associated with the Jingdaoese, and was replaced by Calon Lân at the height of the reconstruction period, in 1610.

Lyrics

Original Istvanistani Translation

Nid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus,
Aur y byd na'i berlau mân:
Gofyn wyf am galon hapus,
Calon onest, calon lân.

Calon lân yn llawn daioni,
Tecach yw na'r lili dlos:
Dim ond calon lân all ganu
Canu'r dydd a chanu'r nos.

Pe dymunwn olud bydol,
Hedyn buan ganddo sydd;
Golud calon lân, rinweddol,
Yn dwyn bythol elw fydd.

(Chorus)

Hwyr a bore fy nymuniad
Gwyd i'r nef ar adain cân
Ar i Dduw, er mwyn fy Ngheidwad,
Roddi i mi galon lân.

(Chorus)

I don't ask for a luxurious life,
the world's gold or its fine pearls,
I ask for a happy heart,
an honest heart, a pure heart.

A pure heart full of goodness
Is fairer than the pretty lily,
None but a pure heart can sing,
Sing in the day and sing in the night.

If I wished for worldly wealth,
It would swiftly go to seed;
The riches of a virtuous, pure heart
Will bear eternal profit.

(Chorus)

Evening and morning, my wish
Rising to heaven on the wing of song
For God, for the sake of my Saviour,
To give me a pure heart.

(Chorus)

Historical anthem

The song "Calbion, fy Gwlad y Adra" was the official anthem of Calbion from 1596 until 1610. The song was written by Alun Morgan, and received official status by proclamation of King Jack I. The song never gained a lot of traction, partly because of its lack of historical roots within the Calbain community.

Lyrics

Calraeg:

Wlad lle y dreigiau a duwiau yn byw.
Gwlad lle mae fy rhieni, a fy mhobl yn byw.
Gwlad y Calbain yw fy nhy
a bydd yn parhau.
Wlad brydferth yw fy nhy, a bydd yn parhau.

English:

Land where the dragons and the gods lived.
Land where my parents and my people live.
Calbion it is my home,
and will remain that for ever.
This splendid nation is my home and will remain that for ever.
