National Guard of Sanama

The National Guard of Sanama is the territorial force responsible for guarding and protecting the nation and supporting the civilian authorities and the community. It is organised on a provincial basis, with each provinces fielding at least one battalion. The smaller provinces field one battalion and the largest field several battalions. Guardsmen keep their military weapons disassembled in their home to increase readiness and reduce response times. The National Guard units are subordinate to the joint command structure. The National Guard also acts as the Army Reserve. During 1692 the National Guard started receiving new updated equipment, replacing the old disused Shirerithian weapons and vehicles.
