As opposed to the Conservatives the NPA supported a more progressive social stance, while still remaining firmly in favour of the monarchy. The NPA is seen as a Centre-Right party able to garner votes from both sides due to its moderate leanings on issues.
Members
At the party's height Claude Peterson was the party leader, Speaker of the Imperial Parliament, MP for Puerto Nuevo, and Premier of Puerto Nuevo. At this time Joshua Jackson was the deputy party leader and a Candidate for Rio Grande.
