A Moros Functionary

The Moros Corps is a civil organisation in the Ciric Confederacy that is presided over by the Proctor of Civil Safety in the confederacy, currently Dinh Tien. The corps was formed in 1459, four years after the foundation of the confederacy, and replaced the local governorate police forces that had remained after the unification of the confederacy. The corps is divided into two divisions, these being the Rapid Response Division and the Peacekeeping Division. The Rapid Response Division is intended to be much more lightly armed and armoured and is the division that performs patrolling duties and is the first response to crimes in the confederacy, and the Peacekeeping Division is more heavily armed and is intended to be brought to bear against more formidable criminal forces, as well as for riot control.

Officers of the Moros Corps, referred to as Moros Functionaries, are intensely trained from their introduction into the corps. Basic training for Moros Functionaries' prime goal is to instill a sense of duty into the aspiring functionaries so that they understand the importance of their positions. The Moros Corps and its functionaries are highly respected throughout the confederacy as a peacekeeping force, and are very effective due to their superior equipment and training.

The Moros Corps sponsors regular civilian education programmes in primary and secondary education in civilian reactions to crimes, helping to train volunteers on how to keep bystanders in crimes safe and help to apprehend criminals. The Moros Corps also works with the Veiga Security Corporation, both in the field in criminal apprehension, as well as in ongoing civilian education programmes on subjects such as firearm safety.
