The Mishalan Governorate is a subordinate entity of Elluenuueq, covering most of the central and western portion of the historical region of Mishalan.
Etymology
History
The Union Defence Force arrived in the region following the Amokolian Revolution, the withdrawal of Krasnocorian forces from the territory, and the evacuation of the Severnaya Gubernya by the Black Legions.The IX Territorial Inspectorate, headquartered in Mišalan, provides the UDF garrison in Mishalacia. Amongst the three Combined Arms Corps assigned to the IX Territorial Inspectorate are the LI Combined Arms Corps, the LII Combined Arms Corps, and the LIII Combined Arms Corps. The regiments of the territorial divisions attached to these corps, being the 47th, the 89th, and the 90th divisions, excluding combat support formations, are expected to be predominantly raised amongst the local population by 1690 AN.
The region remained loyalist during the Second Elwynnese Civil War, largely due to the prompt arrival of reinforcements from the Unified Governorates. Controlling Mishalacia allowed the Raspur Pact to harness its heavy industry and use the territory itself as a springboard for an invasion of Amokolia. In spite of this, Mishalacia lost territory along the eastern marches to the newly formed Central Governorate in the immediate post war period.

The defence of the Mishalan Governorate is the responsibility of the Benacian Union Defence Force. As of 1707 AN the governorate is garrisoned by the 3 Pansarfördelningen in Mürtin, and the 4 Pansarfördelningen in Nova Venja. Internal security is maintained by the deployment of forces at the bailiwick level from the Worshipful Guild of the Sacred Carnifices, and the Corps of the Gentlemen-at-Cudgels.
