Midway

The city of Midway serves as the default capital region of the Empty Quarter, a vast unpopulated region in the western interior of the Hexarchy. Founded at some point in 1694 originally as a military base, construction of the Pan-Keltian Highway contributed to rapid population growth as the region fell under Hexarchian occupation over the course of the 1690's AN. The city serves primarily as a waypoint between extremely far-flung locations in the Hexarchy, and serves to connect the Realm of Karnak with other locations in the country, to include Pyrax and Asshyria.
