Ransenar has traditionally a very competitive print media market, which is divided into daily national newspapers and weekly regional newspapers, as well as weekend editions. Competition from international markets is also strong in Ransenar many publications from Elwynn, Sanama, Alduria, and Shireroth are widely available in Ransenar.

The state broadcaster, Ransenar Broadcasting Network, began operations as soon as its legislative charter and franchise was approved by the 3rd Ransenari Congress in 1673. Its primary content was hourly news updates, live coverage of Ransenari Congress debates, government events and press conferences, followed by taped Ransenari cultural presentations and shows after the 7:00 p.m. nightly news broadcast. It became particularly famous for its weekend morning game show, Ransenar has that!, which quizzed contestants on Ransenari history, trivia, as well as local sights, sounds, and tourist attractions. This also helped drive local tourism and local investment and commerce, due to its growing media reach across the Kingdom.
Close trade relations with Alduria, later Alduria-Wechua, as well as a favorable commercial media environment after the accomplishments of the 3rd Congress resulted in the establishment in 1687 of Eastern Benacia Broadcasting Corporation, a joint venture between the National Broadcasting Corporation of Alduria-Wechua, Kerularios & Company, and TeleRan, broadcasting some imported Alduria-Wechuan content, although it also helped produce some popular local shows, such as Farmer's Life, Benacian Voyager, and the law enforcement serial Ransenari Rangers.
