The Meckelnburgh national curling team is the team for the curling sports (curling and ice stock sport) which represents the micronation of Meckelnburgh. It is run by Royal Curling Meckelnburgh. The national team currently holds no membership in any inter-micronational governing body.

History

The team was founded in mid-2021 after Meckelnburgh prepared to enter the 2021 Curling World Championship. A preliminary scrimmage team was organized, prior to the first formal team inauguration in October 2021.

Player history

Team Meckelnburgh is chosen through the victors of the annual Meckelnburgh national championships in October, the Superspiels.

In doubles, the winning team serves on the mixed doubles squad, while the second- and third-place teams are divided into men’s and women’s squads. In fours, the first- and second-place teams are divided into two separate squads. These teams may continue to represent Meckelnburgh in international events until the following Superspiels.
