Transport

By road

The main method of transport used by the inhabitants of May is the car, and May has an extensive road network. There is only one Expressway through May, the E1, which goes almost directly north from the city of Taylor, through the city of May, and continues upwards into the land north of Mercury. A number of lesser roads connect the 4 cities and 46 towns in May with each other, and the state of Taylor. Other notable roads include the D1, or North Mercury Direct, travelling from the coast in the western city of Clarkson, through the capital, to almost the eastern coast of the state, and also the B7, known locally as the East Coast Road, popular with tourists for its views of the sea towards Nova English Korea, which is faintly visible on a clear day.

By rail

May's railway system begins in the city of Hammond, and continues Eastwards, with a station in the town on Quantum, to the state's capital May, before branching off two routes, one of which goes directly to the city of Taylor, and the other a less direct route serving the towns of Ceres, Vesta, York and Fenton down the east coast, before rejoining the mainline in Taylor, where trains connect for the rest of Mercury.

By sea

Ferries run every hour during the daytime between the town of Homer, in the north-east of the state, and Port Barret in Nova English Korea.

By air

The May City Airport is situated in the outskirts at the north of the city of May. It has regular flights to all the state capitals in Mercury and its dependencies, as well as flights to the rest of Micras.

By bus

Bus services run regularly around the capital, and between all cities and most towns in the state. Buses run hourly between the city of May and the city of Taylor. Less regular services allow travel from every town to one of the cities. During the Summer, scenic bus tours run along the B7 East Coast Road between Orion and the northern border of Mercury.

A shuttle bus runs in the daytime between the cities of Clarkson and Hammond, and also from May city centre to the May City Airport. An hourly service runs from the city of May to the town of Homer, where the ferries to the town of Columbus in Nova English Korea depart from.

Sport

The biggest football club in May is May Wanderers. They won the inaugural Four Nations League Cup and currently play in the Mercury Premier League. May also has three rugby league clubs, playing in the RLM Super 10.
