Maaqa Merovui Kalirion-Alnavion (b. 5.III.1663 AN in Monare) was a penitent of the Benacian Labour Reserve and a former national organizer of National Movement for Human Ecology, Youth Wing in Elwynn, who subsequently was taken as a thrall by the Path of Night and Shadow. She is third cousin once removed of Kaiseress Salome of Shireroth and a member of the House of Ayreon-Kalirion.

She arose to national prominence when she denounced fellow NMHE member, Deirdre Valour, candidate for Prince of Elwynn, as a revisionist who sought to transform Sir Łudo Thalva's unbridled positivity into a bleak, nihilistic, self-destructive form of Human Ecology. In order to adequately combat this trend in post-Fracture NMHE politics, Maaqa decided to register as a candidate for the princely seat and used her campaign as a means to popularize NMHE principles and restore the nihilist faction's faith in Sir Thalva.

Formerly a member of the Council of Eliria, representing Upper Elwynn, she survived the Second Elwynnese Civil War and the Scouring before being taken into protective custody by the Magisters-Carnifex with the suppression of Free Elwynn in 1705 AN. Following her refusal to abide by the Union Covenant she was sentenced to spend the remainder of her life undergoing penance with the Benacian Labour Reserve. Her penitential servitude was subsequently to be undertaken at the Swordson Reform Settlement in the Governorate of Leng. She was subsequently amongst those taken from the Reform Settlement in 1718 AN by the Path of Night and Shadow.

Having survived the casting of lots to determine whom amongst the prisoners should to the Deep Ones for their grisly repast, a fate which would ultimately befall one in seven of the captives, Maaqa Kalirion-Alnavion was taken into the iron mines to eek out the remainder of her days as a thrall.
