Locus Solus LLC used AI to gather and analyse massive pools of medical and clinical data formerly gathered from test subjects at scale and thereby to synthesise the approximation of an ongoing, functioning, simulated consciousness - known thereafter as the "Ego". The company, with the assistance of AI, provided operating systems personalised to the specific needs of the host body and the biomechanical interface.
