Legitimisation of the Light Regime
With the many stereotypical views of the Great Jing Dynasty, it is puzzling to some outsiders that the Jingdaoese Empire has not collapsed but is actually thriving. This article describes the legitimisation of the Light Regime in Jingdao itself.
Egalitarian society
Despite stereotypes, Jingdao is for the most part an egalitarian society with a large middle class to which approximately 86% of the population belongs. The people who belong to this middle class generally do not have to worry about getting a job, as the state provides work to those who are willing. The Jingdaoese labour market is open to people who suffer from disabilities, people with physical or mental disabilities are not excluded and are paid full salaries. While honing one's skills is rewarded with a higher salary, the difference in salary between the lowest paid employee and the highest paid employee is less than 200% in most companies.
Education
Jingdaoese citizens learn from an early age that they should find their self worth in their contribution to society and their worship of the Heavenly Light.
Healthcare
Jingdao has a system of universal healthcare where every citizen can receive any treatment without having to worry about being unable to afford it. The Jingdaoese Empire is able to maintain this system by offering only treatments that can be offered to a wide range of people at an acceptable cost. It also has the Huogeju Fangzhen, the obligatory national diet in Jingdao which is successful at preventing obesity.
