Laws of Drak-Modan are passed by The Fury, the unicameral legislature of the Bovic Kingdom of Drak-Modan. It was first convened in 1671 following the Declaration of Drakorda that separated Drak-Modan from Shireroth. During its first session it passed a core set of laws that formed the Drak-Modani government. (WiP)

The Core Acts

The King and Kingdom

So be it enacted by the Fury of the Drak-Modanese People, assembled here in Drakorda, elected by Our countrymen, with the blessing of Our god Bous, and ruling in the name of Our king, That:

1. The Bovic Kingdom of Drak-Modan is established as a sovereign state, independent and free from all other nations and empires.
2. This Kingdom is the successor state to the County of Lachmodan and the islands of So-Sara, of the Imperial Republic of Shireroth.
2.1 All denizens who resided in Lachmodan and on So-Saran islands on the 23rd Day of Freideber, 1671, are citizens of this Kingdom.
3. The last Duke of Modan & Malarboria, Nathan II, is our King.
3.1 The King is Head of State and Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces.
3.2 The crown, kingdom, and throne of Drak-Modan shall pass to the designated heir of Nathan II.
4. The King will appoint a Secretary for Defense, a Secretary for Foreign Affairs, and a Secretary for Legal Affairs.
5. The King, with his Secretary for Defense, will command the Drak-Modani Defense Force.
6. The King, with his Secretary for Foreign Affairs will set the kingdom's foreign policy and diplomacy.
7. The King, with his Secretary for Legal Affairs, will be the kingdom's supreme court of appeals for civil, criminal, and constitutional cases.

The Fury and the Chancellor

So be it enacted by the Fury of the Drak-Modanese People, assembled here in Drakorda, elected by Our countrymen, with the blessing of Our god Bous, and ruling in the name of Our king, That:

1. The Fury is hereby recognized as the voice and will of the Drak-Modani people
1.1 The Fury is composed of Representatives elected by all citizens of the kingdom over the age of 18.
1.2 One Representative will be elected from each district. There are 400 districts, of approximate equal population.
2. The Fury elects from its own membership a Chancellor as its presiding officer, who will also be the kingdom's Head of Government.
2.1 The Chancellor will appoint a Minister of Justice, a Minister of Security, and a Minister of Information.
3. The Fury creates law by passing Acts and the Chancellor enforces those Acts.
4. The Fury will establish subordinate civil, criminal and constitutional courts of law.
4.1 The Chancellor will appoint justices to these subordinate courts.

The Governor-General

So be it enacted by the Fury of the Drak-Modanese People, assembled here in Drakorda, elected by Our countrymen, with the blessing of Our god Bous, and ruling in the name of Our king, That:

1. A Governor-General may fulfill the obligations and duties of the King while the King is away from the kingdom.
2. The Chancellor shall provide a list of candidates to the King and the King will select from among that list a person to appoint as Governor-General.
3. The King may dismiss the Governor-General at any time for any reason.

The Church

So be it enacted by the Fury of the Drak-Modanese People, assembled here in Drakorda, elected by Our countrymen, with the blessing of Our god Bous, and ruling in the name of Our king, That:

1. The Benacian Bovic Church of the Capric Rite is the official state church of this kingdom. It is in full communion with the Dozan Bovic Church.
2. The Bovic Patriarch of Drakorda shall be the spiritual leader of the Drak-Modani who seek him or her. 3. Native religions, ancient cults, and foreign religions of allies, shall be permitted to express themselves freely.
