Karel Kyle des Vinandy, Prince of Vinandy, Senator of the Lakes, ('s Koningenwaarde, 16 VIII 1676 AN) is the second child of the former King of Batavia, Arkadius Frederik Gustavus des Vinandy. From his birth until the fall of the Frankish Empire, he was the crown prince, first in line of succession. Between 1685 and 1691 AN he lived with his elder sister and younger brother in hiding in Batavia. But when his uncle, Hendrik Leopold des Vinandy, became king of Batavia he moved to Vesüha in Hurmu, where he in 1695 was elected to the Senate on behalf of the Conservative List. Re-elected in 1701.

In 1703, it was confirmed that his mother was not Clara Sundara – his father's wife at the time of his birth – but rather a lady in waiting in the palace, Catherine Bullen.
