Jón Demo is a Craitish former-footballer who last played for Osĵätoņ Aztecs FC, with whom he spent his entire professional career. Renowned for his boisterous style, Demo gained 21 international caps and played exclusively as a left-sided winger. He is a member of Craitland's "Golden Generation".

Career

Club

At the age of 24, Demo signed with Osĵätoņ Feyenoord FC—as Osĵätoņ Aztecs FC were then known—ahead of the first CrFA League 1 season in 2003 to begin his professional career. Immediately established as the club's starting left-winger, wearing an unconventional number 6, Demo was an integral part of the teams which sealed domestic silverware success in his early seasons, with a King's Cup in 2004 preceding back-to-back league titles in 2005 and 2006. The team also made a second cup final in 2005; the run to which Demo scored in against Sverige Tiem FC in the semi-final, but lost to Cherry Trees FC. A third cup final brought another triumph, however, with a victory in 2007 for the club's, and Demo's, second.

While the 2008 season saw a poor Aztecs finish a then-record-lowest third, even with Demo's continued presence, the side regained their league title the following year. During 2009 and 2010, Demo faced stiffer competition for his starting position down the left following the acquisition of Tellia's François Germaine, before his departure. As the Aztecs struggled to challenge for trophies at this point in their history, Demo's game time was limited further with the return of Jón Zyxveldtsen ahead of the 2011 campaign. With Zyxveldtsen installing himself in the starting line-up, coupled with his own advanced age, Demo retired in the summer of 2011 just shy of his 33rd birthday and having won five domestic titles.

International

Demo's international career with Craitland began in 2006, when he was called-up for the squad for the inaugural FMF World Cup. As the team's first-choice left-winger, Demo started all of their games as they advanced to the quarter-finals before losing on penalties to Nova England, with Demo taking and missing Craitland's first spot kick. Demo continued as an international regular throughout the qualifying rounds for the 2007 FMF World Cup, and maintained his starting position in the finals as the Craits won their first ever world title. Demo missed-out on the EMU 2007 squad later in the year, with Markko Edmildón taking his place after a successful club season.

Edmildón impressed in Demo's absence and established himself as a starter in the 2008 World Cup, with Demo utilised as a substitute throughout the team's second victory. Demo continued to deputise for Edmildón the following year, being included in both the EMU 2009 and World Cup squads, with the team finishing second and third, respectively. Despite still playing regularly domestically, Demo was overlooked for the national team's training squad in the summer of 2010, and subsequently was not involved in that year's World Cup, with Lydveldt Loresen gaining a first call-up in his place. Demo retired from playing in the summer of 2011 having earned 21 caps and scoring once.
