Interim government in Sanama

The Interim government in Sanama assumed power over Sanama on 14.IV.1679 after Amalric Woehrle transferred authority to civlian rule following the assassination of Adalwolf Hiedler by UGB forces. The stated goals of the interim government was to conduct a census, oversee the transfer of power from military rule to the interim government, and then to the new permanent government, and to draft an outline constitution to be passed in a referendum. The first action of the interim government was to reverse the legal changes made by the military junta. Capital and corporal punishment was again banned, cantonal laws regarding cannabis reinstituted, and the civil and political rights in the old federal constitution brought back.
