The Independent Party of Gerenia (Gerenian: Beran Imdețunes Gherenies, BIG) is a social-democratic political party in Gerenia. It is the most popular party in Gerenia.

History

The party was officially founded on 30 March 2012 as "The Independent Party" by Gerald Ruze and other intellectuals such as Clemente Ruiz to compete in the 2012 election on planet Earth.

Upon foundation of the Micrasian Gerenia, the Independent Party became the main political party, with Ruze as President of both the party and the country. The Independent Party has won every parliamentary election in Gerenia's history, as well as most provincial and district elections. This success can be explained by the fact that the party as it attracted many members from the "traditional" parties.

In December 2014, Gerald Ruze, whilst his stay at Hamland during the Anarchy period, founded the Independent Party of Hamland. Since then, the Gerenian party is called "Independent Party of Gerenia", to make a distinction between the two parties.
