House of the Sealords

The House of the Sealords is the name of the parliament of the Region of the Isles. It is located in Ersoy, the capital city of Taeland and administrative centre of the Commonwealth of Hamland.

The House of the Sealords gets its name from the oligarchic system which was native to Hamland and Taeland before their modern democratic system. For Taeland the house was the seat of the region's most powerful Sea Lords who would agree rules and settle affairs in the chamber. This was during an age where most of Taeland's wealth came from piracy.

In recent years the chamber has become the parliament of the Island Region of Hamland with representatives from the Iridian Lands, Kydros and the Liberty Islands. They all sit in the 201 member chamber and decide, along with the Lord of the Isles, over legislation affecting the region. The current Lord of the Isles is Lord Lewis who represents the Social Liberal Party.
