History of the Wechua Nation

After the fall of the Wechuaku Empire, the Wechua in Keltia were conquered and ruthlessly suppressed by Attera. Prior to the Atteran conquest, the Wechuaku Empire centered around the lands that surrounded Mount Lacara, while the northern lowlands were inhabited by independent Wechua nomadic tribes. The divisions among the different Wechua regions and tribes led to their downfall. The area traded hands between Attera and Karnali often, and after the fall of these great nations, was largely left to the Keltian Green wastes, where the Wechua slowly began to gather and unite as rulers from the mountain city of Parap, claiming a divine mandate from the God Inti. Several decades of warfare with roaming tribes and peoples of the Keltian Green led to the establishment of a proper Wechua state in 1656. Since then, the Wechua Nation has endured regular periods of political and economic instability, including the collapse of the country in 1669 due to the White Plague. The country was refounded in 1673 after a protracted period of war, famine, disease, and national catastrophe for the country called the Wechua Sorrow. During this time, millions of Wechua left Keltia and took up residence in Constancia, Natopia, and Alduria, called the Wechu Exodus.
