The Goldfield Gazette is the official journal of record of the government of Ransenar. Types of announcements in the Gazette include, appointments, promotions, and transfers of persons to positions in the Ransenari civil service; creation, dissolution and renaming of boards, departments, and commissions; conferring of awards and honors to persons and organisations by the government; calling of tenders and awarding of contracts by the government.

Background

Founded on 13.XIV.1627 AN, the Goldshire Hamlet Gazette was founded to serve as the principal government gazette and newspaper of the County of Ransenar under the government of Count Janus Eadric. It maintained the Comital Decree Archives and handled the announcement of new laws, decrees, and ordinances to the people of Ransenar and Neridia.

When the administration of Audun Joel moved to Goldfield, the Gazette moved with it and renamed itself the Goldfield Gazette. The Goldfield Gazette started covering local news as a means to employ writers and journalists, supporting an early tradition of journalism among the masses of Goldshire. It continued providing notices to the public of the decrees and ordinances issued by the Count and the County Government.
