GlaTV or Glacei Television is a television network of Lac Glacei commercial television stations, with Channel 12 as the primary station. It is often referred to in abbreviation of GlaTV or GTV.
Overview
History
GlaTV was founded in 1690 through the merger of several smaller local networks to create the first national syndicated network to serve all of Lac Glacei. Demand for syndicated television had been high for several years, with no prior national news service besides that ported in via satellite from Nouvelle Alexandrie. Thus subscriptions soared immediately and the network saw immediate profits. Coupled with high profile news stories and engaging television shows, GTV quickly became a household name. Within a few years GTV was being broadcast to all of Lac Glacei and Eesdeheito, as well as parts of Lontinien and other neighboring countries.
Program Distribution
Several basic channels are free without a subscription. These provide basic news services, such as daily news and weather reports, but no syndicated shows or movies. A basic cable subscription will increase the number of channels available exponentially, and some channels are exclusively subscription-based (e.g. those containing adult content). With increased viewership coming from foreign subscribers, GTV has also begun featuring channels broadcast in foreign languages, such as JTV (Jingdao TV), HAH (Hurmu At Home) and AA (Arbor Abroad).
