The Gerenian Futsal Premier League (Leranodes Zoutĵalies Gherenies) is the premier futsal league in Gerenia, run by the SZG. The league, created in 2013, currently features 20 teams in 3 divisions: North-east, North-west, and South.

History

The Premier League was founded in May 2013, and the inaugural season took place immediately after, with 9 teams. The competition was suspended at mid-season. The following year, the Premier League was not played, but it returned in 2015 with 16 member clubs in a three-division system. Koldare from Taizun, Barzat were crowned season champions. For the 2016 season, the league will have 20 teams.

Format

The 20 teams are grouped in three divisions based in their geographical location. Both the North-West and the North-East Divisions have 7 teams each, and the South Division have 6 teams. During the regular season, each team plays the others in their division twice. The best two teams of each division advance to the final group, where they play their rivals twice. The team with most points are crowned as champions.

Champions

In 2015, it was decided to give Arquitectura the 2013 title. The team finished first at the end of the regular phase, when the season was suspended. International SC finished the first stage in second place.
