Fredrik "Freddie" Zóma-ó-Täó is a Craitish former-footballer who last played for Hänävissen-ó-Cräiteland FC, with whom he spent his entire professional career. Playing exclusively as a left-back, Zóma-ó-Täó was the first black player to play for Craitland and earned 14 international caps.

Career

Club

Zóma-ó-Täó's professional career began at the age of 22, after signing for his hometown side Hänävissen-ó-Cräiteland FC for the first season of CrFA League 1 in 2003, being included in the club's first team ahead of fellow prospect and future international teammate Jon Anders Larsen. Zóma-ó-Täó, playing alongside Markko Edmildón on the left flank and wearing the number 3, was one of the club's stand-out performers during his earlier career, helping the team to five consecutive third-placed finishes. The left-back was an integral member of the starting line-up that won the club its first trophy in the 2007 EMUFA Cup final; the first Craitish club to win an international honour, and was also an ever-present in the 2008 season, where HóC finished in a record-highest second place.

Although the club was less successful in the league over the following three seasons, Zóma-ó-Täó helped them to a first domestic title in 2010, thanks to a convincing 3–0 victory in that year's King's Cup final. HóC continued to struggle in subsequent seasons, following increases in the number of league opponents and fixtures, but saw another cup final run in 2012, with Zóma-ó-Täó scoring in the semi-final before losing to Cherry Trees FC. Zóma-ó-Täó played one more season before retiring in the summer of 2013 at the age of 33.

International

Zóma-ó-Täó received his first Craitish international call-up in 2007, following a successful season with his club team. He was included in the squad for the FMF World Cup that year, and played a supporting role as Craitland won its first ever title. Zóma-ó-Täó remained with the national side into the inaugural EMU Championships later in the year, where he was the first-choice left-back as the team progressed to the semi-finals having kept three clean sheets in the process. Craitland eventually finished third, after a penalty loss to Riponia, by beating hosts Nova England, with another clean sheet to his name. The 2008 FMF World Cup saw Zóma-ó-Täó once again included for Craitland, albeit as a squad player, as the team won a second successive world title, but the defender was unable to seal his place at any future tournaments despite being included in 2009's summer training squad. Although he remained eligible for Craitland up until his full retirement in 2013, Zóma-ó-Täó was not considered again internationally, due to the emergence of Alexis Proteņ at the left-back position, and ended his career with 14 caps.

Personal life

Zóma-ó-Täó was born in Hänävissen-ó-Cräiteland to a Craitish father and a New Nsawamian mother. Although eligible to play for New Nsawam, Zóma-ó-Täó never considered it a possibility and only desired to represent Craitland.
