Frankish Cognito is a territory of Barikalus that is under the legal military occupation of the Grand Duchy of Lac Glacei following the end of the Barikalus–Hurmu war and the Arboric Civil War. The territory lies directly south of Cognito, along the coast of the Strait of Pearls. The area has a predominantly ethnic Frankish and Cognitan population and as such, following the civil war, the area's administration was transferred to Lac Glacei for a period of four Norton years.
The territory corresponds roughly to the unrecognized break-away state of Frankish Kingdom.
