The Florian general election, November 2017 was the third general election in the Florian Republic. It was an emergency election after the resignation and arrest of Edwin Farrar, who led the country. It was also called due to increasing political tensions in the country. In the election, the Florian Labour Party refused to appoint a nominee leaving only two major parties to run in the election. It was held on the 4th November 2017. The election saw Jessica Smith become the first female and Liberal Party leader to become president of the country. In the short campaign, the Florian Liberal Party gained massive popularity after promises to restore democracy and peace in the country. It also stated that they would change the electoral system of the country to suit its needs. The Conservatives were in favour of creating a stronger economy in the country and a huge support for the War of Lost Brothers which eventually led to their downfall.
