The Floria national football team is the football team which represents the micronation of Floria. It is a member of the AEFA, and is run by the Florian Football Association. The team is the official successor of the Florian Republic, and as such retains its records.

History

The team was founded in 2020 after the foundation of Floria as the successor state to the Florian Republic. Under the name of the Florian Republic, the team first competed and placed third in the 2017 Devon Shield and won the Florian Peace Cup ahead of its competitive début in the 2018 Copa Apollonia qualification rounds. After advancing to the play-offs, where they overcame Arboria, the team won its finals tournament group before losing the semi-final and winning a third-place play-off to take bronze.

After topping its qualifying group the following year, the team once again advanced from its finals group in its first ever FMF World Cup appearance. After a penalty victory over Shireroth, a heavy defeat to Senya saw them eliminated in the quarter-finals. In 2020, the team secured the inaugural AEEU Nations Cup prior to the beginning of the 2020 Copa Apollonia qualification rounds, from which they advanced to the finals as group winners. The team then went unbeaten throughout the Copa Apollonia finals as they won every match en route to lifting a first major trophy before renaming to Floria shortly afterwards.

In late 2020, the team entered the inaugural edition of the Raspur Pact Nations League and competed in its top tier, finishing top of their four-team group unbeaten with 14 points to advance to the knock-outs, where they won two penalty shoot-outs to become the competition's first winners. Floria also successfully bid to host the 2021 FMF World Cup, with the team receiving an automatic berth in the tournament. In the World Cup, the team advanced from their group as winners with nine points to advance to the quarter-finals, where they overcame Lamantia 2–1. After beating reigning champions Senya in the semi-finals, also 2–1, they were victorious in the final thanks to a 1–0 win over Craitland and became only the second ever host nation to lift the World Cup trophy.

As reigning champions, Floria qualified automatically for the 2022 Copa Apollonia and also received a place in the year's FMF Confederations Cup, where they finished second in their group with ten points before losing to Senya and then beating Mercury, both 2–1, in the knock-out rounds to place third overall. In the Copa Apollonia, they advanced from their group in second place with four points, ahead of Hurmu by virtue of goal difference, to reach the semi-finals where they lost to Senya after extra time before beating Raspur 4–1 in the third-place play-off to place third overall.

After winning the previous edition, Floria automatically qualified for the 2023 FMF World Cup, where they advanced from Group D in third place with six points. They then defeated Tellia 4–2 in the play-off round before being eliminated by hosts Mercury after extra time in the quarter-finals.
