Federal Council of Sanama

The Federal Council of Sanama is the federal executive power and collective head of state. The council always consists of nine members elected by the Federal Assembly for a four year term. The members are usually chosen according to a formula, with the largest parties represented. The council also usually has at least one member from each linguistic group.
