Region of Falange is one of the 14 regions of Vegno. It consists of the homonym island, that is the largest in Vegno. It's located in the Northern Sea facing to the east the Strait of Pearls, that divides it from the Keltia continent. Its capital is Sancrus, the third most populated city in Vegno, with 606,117 inhabitants (on 1724 AN).
It was recently connected to mainland territories in 1713 AN thanks to the inauguration of the Strait of Vegno Bridge.
Geography
Falagne land is almost 65,040 km2 (25,112 sq mi) and it has a cold maritime climate. The mean annual air temperature is 6.0 °C (42.8 °F) and the mean annual precipitation is 509 mm (20.0 in). It experiences very cold winters, accompanied by heavy snow falls and more mild summers.
Economy
The region hosts the most important fishing port of Vegno, located in the city capital of Sancrus. Secondary to fishing, the Università di Sancrus is a center for Arctic research.
The Aeroporto Sancrus-Falange "Stella del Nord" (VESF) is located in the capital and has been for a lot of years the only way to travel to and from the region; from 1713 AN, when the Strait of Vegno bridge was officially opened, the primary way to travel to Falange swtiched from plains to cars and trains.
Tourism is an alternative economic resource, especially in the winter periods, due to its caratheristics snowfalls and landscapes.

Sports
Football is the most important Sport in the region, with its main club Sancrus FC from the capital, that plays in Lega A and is also the most titled club in Vegno, with 2 trophies lifted. KS Mroz from the second most important city in the region, plays in Lega B, with other minor clubs also present and playing in the minor leagues.
As regard Motorsport the most important constructor competing in Formula Micras is based in Sancrus, the Sburo Deliziosa FM Team.
