The Citizen's Medal was established by HRM King August Charles II in 2005. The medal is awarded to a Gotzer in recognition of his or her contributing actively as a citizen for a prolonged period. It consists of two classes for 1-year and 2-years (the Citizen's Medal with Bow) of active citizenship.

History

Created on November 16, 2005, by Royal Decree, the Citizen's Medal was established by King August Charles II as a means of expressing gratitude to the active citizens of the Kingdom. "We have felt it important to recognize those people who have had the stability, commitment and dedication" to Gotzborg said the King.

The medal, when displayed, indicates to other citizens and visitors that the holder maintains active and continuous participation within the affairs of the Kingdom. The 1-year and 2-year classes were so-chosen because a year of continuous participation in an Internet micronation is generally uncommon.
