The Caputian Broadcasting Corporation is a crown corporation established by Order in Council bearing date at Bellesea Palace, 26th day of Liebluary 1658.

Management

Article 8, Section 10, of the Economy Act, 2017 provides that unless otherwise provided by law, the Prime Minister shall be ex-officio Chairman of the Board of Directors of government corporations, and the Cabinet shall constitute the Board of Directors of government corporations. The Prime Minister, with the consent of Cabinet, may by written instrument appoint a Caputian to be President and Chief Executive of any government corporation, to serve at the pleasure of, and remain accountable to, Her Majesty's Government. The appointed President and Chief Executive possesses full authority, subject to law, to govern the affairs of the said government corporation.

The President of the Caputian Broadcasting Corporation is Rt. Hon. Ford Dalton Tollemache, Minister of Home Affairs, and Lord President of the Council.

Content

The Caputian Broadcasting Corporation, simulcast on radio and television, airs the morning news at 8:00 a.m., followed by hourly news updates, with a 12:00 noon news summary, evening news at 7:00 p.m., and late news at 10:00 p.m..

Remainder of programming time is usually allotted for live or recorded debates and votes of the Caputian Parliament, as well as live or recorded official speeches and press conferences of the Prime Minister and other government ministries and offices.

There has been recent discussion to utilize broadcast time to educate the public on pressing societal, social and economic issues.

Funding

Government funding is supplemented by revenue from commercial advertising.
