The Birgeshir National Rugby League Competition (or the BNRL for short) is a professional rugby league competition held annually in Birgeshir. The league involves six teams. After 10 weekly rounds, the top three clubs compete in the play-offs with the 1st placed guaranteed the Grand Final while the 2nd and 3rd placed playing the semifinals. The season begins in January and ends in April with games played on Saturdays.
History
Despite rugby league being a popular sport in Birgeshir,the micronation never had a domestic professional competition until 2017 when the BNRL was founded by Deniz Yürük.

Champions
Star rating system
Teams are permitted to place a golden star on their uniforms for every five national championships won.
Flag Patch
The Championship title is represented by a waving birgesh flag patch and the winning team will bear it on the uniform in the following season. This is similar to the italian "scudetto".
