The Beaugium national football team was the football team which represented the micronation of Beaugium. The team was a founding member of the FMF and was a member of the WMFA.

The team existed twice in the FMF's history; firstly between the organisation's foundation and 2007, and secondly between 2007 and 2012. The team won the inaugural FMF World Cup, and appeared in the tournament four times.

History

Beaugium was one of the founding members of the FMF when the organisation was created in October 2006 prior to the first FMF World Cup. The national team competed in the tournament, topping its group on goal difference. After a last-minute win over Matbaa in the quarter-finals and beating hosts Taesong in the semi-finals, an early goal in the final against Gaia was enough for the team to win the World Cup.

Beaugium left Micras in 2007, prior to the beginning of that year's qualifiers, meaning that the team forfeited their automatic winners' place in the 2007 FMF World Cup. Gaia, as the previous year's runners-up, were granted an automatic place in the tournament instead. Beaugium returned to Micras later in the year, and the team rejoined the FMF. However, due to the AEFA's qualification rounds already being underway, Gaia were unable to be involved in qualifying and so retained their automatic place in the finals, meaning that the Beaugians were required to qualify despite being holders of the World Cup. Despite this, the team had a very successful qualifying campaign, beating Zandarijn 8–2 and Greenuk 5–0, both on aggregate, to seal their qualification. In the finals, the team could only manage to draw their opening game as they finished bottom of their group with one point.

In 2008's qualifiers, the team was less successful. After beating New Brittania on the away goals rule in the first round, the team lost 2–0 on aggregate to Batavia and failed to qualify.

The team's fortunes improved the following year, as they topped their five-team qualifying group, only losing once. The team's success continued into the finals, where they topped their group, finishing above holders Craitland. In the knock-out stages, the team beat Tellia 3–2 before losing to eventual runners-up Nova England in the semi-finals. The team met fellow group members Craitland in the third-place play-off, which they lost 5–2 to finish fourth.

The following year, the team again qualified for the World Cup, coming second in their qualification group before beating Shireroth in the play-offs on aggregate. The team had its worst finals appearance later in the year, finishing bottom of their group after losing all of their matches.

In 2011, the team finished fourth in the WMFA's sole six-team qualifying group, missing-out on an interconfederational play-off place by a point to Ashkenatza.

The team performed poorly in the 2012 qualifying campaign, finishing fourth in their five-team group with six points, only finishing above débutants Sangun, Riskai and the Idunn Isles on goal difference. Beaugium again left Micras later in the year.
