The Bataafse Arbeiderspartij (abbreviated as BAP), known as the Batavian Workers Party, is a Batavian leftist political party. It originally was established in 1575 AN as a social-democratic party. During the Sixth Kingdom most of it party members were part of the more moderate Voorwaarts Batavië!. The split led to the re-establishment of the Workers Party in 1679 AN. The party adopted an extreme leftist, communist policy.
