History

The single greatest appreciation of any resource's value in the history of Straylight's markets was felt in the years following the popularisation of the Oceanic system. This resource had been considered important for a long time, but it was always economical enough to produce on location for all relevant needs. Unfortunately its supply fluctuated seasonally, and it was particularly expensive around the high tropical and sub-tropical seas that were the most often preferred spots for building sancts. Once large amounts of that resource suddenly were needed to be socially competitive, demand went up, prices went up, and all of a sudden, harvesting it where it was plentiful began in earnest.

Cold is the entire reason for the existence of Arctic Straylight. The basic equation for the cooling needs of computing is very simple: All energy that you spend on computing turns into heat. One hundred percent. It is a perfect process.
