Aras Sabres
Located in the beautiful mountain city of Aras, the Aras Sabres are a professional level team and the only team to be composed entirely of military cadets from the Military College of Sayaffallah.
History
Founded in 1815 by cadets at the Military College of Sayaffallah the Aras Sabres were born into a passionate military environment with an attendance of over 100,000 in its early years with people from across the mountainous terrain coming to the cadets' campus to see the games first hand. At the turn of the century following the revolution the attendance grow even more rocketing up to 150,000 which continues to be the steadfast amount at each game making the Aras Sabres the second most popular team outside of the national team in the country of Sayaffallah.
Stadium
The Aras Sabres play at Cadet Stadium on the campus of the Military College with a total occupancy of 175,000 making it the second largest stadium in the country and the only stadium to be 100% built from private funds having been built by the generosity of the then commandant who utilized his entire pension given to him by the Emperor as a reward for gallantry and bravery in battle to build the stadium into what it is to this very day.
Team colours and kit
The colours are a dark green and silver reflecting the colour of the mountain and its trees and the silver representing both the colour of the sheer rock faces and the tint of colour on the blade of a sabre used in battle.
