Andromeda OS is a family of graphical operating systems owned by the Andromeda Tech Corporation and developed by Andromeda Code that is intended for use with the Andromeda-family of personal computers, laptops, and has a subset of systems developed for Andromeda-family mobile devices. It is the primary and default operating system of these devices. Andromeda OS is the most widely used operating system on these family of devices.
Andromeda OS was based on and developed from the code husk of ArkSystems, which was an archaic operating system developed by an independent technology company in 1623 AN but which fell out of use in 1628 AN when the Andromeda Corporation began asserting dominance over the technological sector of the confederate economy. The first system was released in 1649 AN and was known as Tek OS 1.3.0. The OS changed its name later that year in its first major update, becoming Andromeda OS 1.3.1, which preceded a naming system that hasn't been disclosed by the Andromeda Corporation, ending with the most recent update of Andromeda OS 1.13.4 Spectrum.
