The Alduro-Wechua general election of 1692 AN is the first general election of the Federation of Alduria and the Wechua Nation after its formation in 1685 AN. It was held from X.XX.1690 AN to X.XX.1692 AN. The election was originally scheduled for the end of 1689 AN, but political instability and the nation's rapid expansion presented serious logistical and organizational challenges that prompted the election to be rescheduled. Delays in securing the national elections system, registering voters, and helping new Regions build their own election capabilities led to the resignation of the Federation's first President of the Government Alejandro Campos, who was succeeded by Jean-Michel Lavaud.

Under the Proclamation of Punta Santiago, issued in 1685 AN and amended and ratified in 1689 AN by the Federal Constituent Assembly, the Federation had an interim Government led by the Coalition for Federal Progress. The date of the election is set by a fixed election date law that was passed by the Federal Constituent Assembly in order to guarantee unanimous passage of a resolution that extended the term of the interim Government and the Assembly until 1694 AN.

Campaign

The campaign officially began after the closing ceremonies and official dissolution of the Federal Constituent Assembly and lasted until polling day on X.XX.1692 AN. The election also allowed for the first time Alduro-Wechua citizens that live abroad in nations like Natopia, Elwynn, Ransenar, Constancia to vote by mail or by dropping their ballot off at an Alduro-Wechua consulate or embassy.
