Administrative divisions of Jingdao

A province is the largest administrative division in the Jingdaoese Empire. Provinces are further subdivided into districts (also called counties). They are part of Regions, which are merely of symbolic and historical importance.

Each province is administered by a Governor who is appointed by the Heavenly Light and receives a seat in the Seanad. Depending on the size of the Province, it receives seats in the Imperial Yuan. This has lead to an unfair distribution of voting power, which disadvantages the urban centres.

There are fourteen provinces in Jingdao, Calbion not counted.

Defunct Provinces

  1. Julang: east of Zhongji, disbanded after several tribal attacks of the Greens. It was deemed impossible to defend without major military investments during the early reign of the Sheng Emperor. The funds originally meant to be invested in the province went to the establishment of the Emperor's personal oversea colony of Saint Simon.
