2020 New Batavian constitutional referendum

A referendum is being held in November 2020 to adopt a new constitution for the Islamic Internet Republic.

Background

On October 31, 2020 the MCS accepted the claim of the Government-in-Exile of the Islamic Internet Republic to the island of New Batavia. After the elections of a new Majlis-al-Shoera and a Sadr, a new constitution was adopted by the Majlis on November 19, 2020. According to article 117 of the current constitution, the bill needs to be approved by a nationwide referendum.
